Subscriptions are the key to building predictable, recurring revenue and at Lemon Squeezy we are committed to helping you grow your business by providing a seamless subscriptions experience for both developers and customers. Today we’re excited to announce a bundle of subscription-related features and fixes that you all have been asking for!
Pause subscriptions from the dashboard
You are now able to pause a customer’s subscription from the merchant dashboard. This was previously only possible via API call, but now this can be done with the click of a button!Â
To pause a subscription on behalf of a customer, navigate to your Lemon Squeezy dashboard and select Store > Subscriptions, select the specific subscription you would like to pause and click the “Pause Subscription” button. Before confirming, you also have the option to deactivate license keys if there are any associated with the subscription.
Export subscriptions and subscription invoices
Do you need to work with your subscriptions data outside of the Lemon Squeezy dashboard? Now it’s easy to export your subscriptions and any subscription invoices to a csv. The possibilities are endless!Â
To begin an export, navigate to the Store > Subscriptions section within your Lemon Squeezy dashboard and select the “Export” button at the top right of the table. The download link will be sent to your email.Â
Customers can update quantity on the Customer Portal
Your customers can now update the quantity of existing subscription orders directly in the Customer Portal if you have embedded this into your site. If a customer needs to make a change to quantity, now it’s easy for them to self-serve!
To help a customer update the quantity of their subscription order, you can direct them to navigate to your embedded customer portal, select their subscription and then select “Update” from the drop down. They can now edit the number in the “Quantity” field and select “Save”.
Subscription prices in emails reflect discounts
We have updated our “trial ending soon” email notifications to correctly show any discounts applied to pricing at checkout. Previously there was a bug that caused the full list price to be shown, without factoring in any discounts. While the correctly discounted price was used to charge subscriptions, this display error in emails likely contributed to customer confusion about pricing and increased rates of canceling subscriptions at the end of trials. If you spot a bug like this in the future, you can always report it to our help center and we’ll work to get it resolved quickly!
